The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is, in my opinion, the best horror film ever made—and one of the definitive summer horror movies. I’m a fan of the sequels too, and I wanted this piece to capture the raw, grimy energy that makes the series so memorable.
Here, Leatherface is hulking and massive, dragging away his latest victim while still looking ready for whoever comes next. I wanted him to feel heavy, brutal, and imposing—the kind of presence that made the original film so unsettling.
