Dark Idols Series- Sandworms of Saturn is a pen illustration tinted in Beetlejuice green, exploring the iconic sandworms from the world of Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice. Fascinated by their enormous, horrifying yet captivating presence, this study captures their arrival just in time to save the day. Inspired by the darkly whimsical and complex afterlife Burton created, the piece reflects my love for his 80s films and their mix of weird, fun, and unsettling imagery. This quick study brings the monstrous and fantastical to life, highlighting both fear and fascination in equal measure.
