Peace, At Last

Peace, At Last presents a male-centric alternate vision of Nocturne, showing a lone skeleton peacefully reclaimed by the forest. A delicate butterfly feeds on fragments of cartilage from his knee as his lifeless gaze rests on the old tire swing he once knew. The setting, rich with his personal meaning, serves as his final resting place—a serene space for eternal return. The piece reflects my fascination with the supernatural and the lingering stories that persist long after life has ended. Through this work, I aimed to convey quiet reflection, mortality, and the delicate interplay between life, death, and nature.
