Beetlejuice was created to coincide with the long-awaited 2024 sequel while also serving as my traditional Halloween piece. The illustration reimagines a classic portrait, infusing it with grotesque elements like bugs, stains, and exaggerated features to give an unapologetic take on the iconic character. By highlighting the dark, chaotic energy of Beetlejuice, the piece embraces both horror and humor in equal measure. My goal was to put an unconventional spin on a familiar figure, transforming a beloved character into a fresh, provocative character study. The result is a bold, unsettling, and playful homage that keeps the spirit of Halloween alive.
